Commodore USA, LLC was founded by Barry Altman in April of 2010, with the express purpose of reviving and re-establishing the famous and much loved Commodore computer brand. Commodore played a major role in the micro-computer era, which was a hot-bed of activity and innovation in technology. It was an era of distinctive platforms each with different capabilities and focus. Commodore's influence on the computing landscape was unparalleled, arguably even by the likes of Apple, Atari and IBM, their traditional rivals. When Commodore met its premature demise in the mid-nineties, we believe something of great value was lost in the tech world. Many Commodore fans and users were devastated, feeling that the magic had gone. Almost twenty years later there continues to be a huge cult following for the various generations of Commodore computers produced, with countless websites devoted to them, and thousands of enthusiasts who regularly meet at annual events all around the world. At Commodore USA, LLC we are striving to rekindle that magic that had left the world, to renew the fanbase, and to take the brand to new heights. To fight back against Apple revisionism. Having recently secured licensing rights to both the Commodore and AMIGA brands, Commodore USA, LLC will be releasing a series of all-in-one computers, desktops, notebooks and tablets in the coming years and months. We believe these much loved icons of the golden age of computing continue to have value and we will endeavor to produce competitive and innovative products in a manner befitting their heritage. We are excited to bring back the Commodore 64 (the greatest selling computer model of all time) as a modern keyboard computer suitable for every day usage. The Commodore AMIGA was considered the pinnacle of Commodore's technological prowess. It therefore also gives us great pleasure to reboot the famous AMIGA line of computers with cutting edge technology matching, and in some cases, exceeding that which you would expect in today's personal computers.

At Commodore USA, our goal is to restore both the Commodore and AMIGA brands to their former glory. Our reboot and re-imagining of the classic AMIGA line-up will showcase the latest and greatest Personal Computer Hardware and Operating System technology available today.

Our modern day AMIGA incarnation will feature "Commodore OS", a distinctive, attractive, advanced and stable Operating System experience, that will come pre-loaded with dozens of the latest and greatest productivity and creativity software the open source world has to offer. Featuring dozens of exciting 3D games, the latest web browsing technology, a Microsoft Word compatible Office Suite, advanced graphical manipulation programs, 3D ray-tracing software, advanced software development tools and languages, photo and movie editing and sound and music composition programs, there is no task too big or too small for a Commodore or AMIGA to accomplish. Commodore OS will also be classic Commodore compatible, with the ability to run classic 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit era software via emulation. All our machines will also provide optimum software flexibility with the optional extra to run Windows software either from a dual boot menu at start up, or seamlessly integrated within Commodore OS itself.
